Joey Wagner

Joey Wagner is one the newest additions to the Detroit Pitching Development program and pitching instructor at Origin Athletics. Joey was born and raised in Owosso, Michigan where he began his baseball journey. He attended Owosso High School and was a key asset to their success throughout his high school career.
After high school, Joey committed to go play at Jackson C.C.. During his freshman season, Joey suffered an arm injury that knocked him out for the season. That summer, he went down south and trained at Tread Athletics. While there, Joey was able to learn what it takes for players to reach their goals and take their game to the next level.
Joey is now a Junior at Rochester Christian University and we are very excited to have in the building for the Detroit Pitching Development program. Joey brings in so much knowledge about the mechanical and mental toughness side of pitching that it takes to get to the next level.
